The Mama & The Papalms: * * * The Mama & The Papalms were formed in 2012 by French singer and photographer Isadora Lehericey, Jonathan Thompson (guitars, percussions, recording) and Thomas Andrevsky (guitar, harmony vocals) on the outskirts of Twentynine Palms, California, within earshot of the Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center in the Mojave Desert. The band has been influenced by such writers as Edward Abbey, Pete Fromm, Richard Brautigan and Sam Shepard. The upcoming Snakebites EP was birthed from a long period of sun-dazed summer isolation in their recording studio, overlooking the desert, under inspirational sunsets, moonrises and shooting stars. The self-sustaining three-piece also mention such influences as flashfloods, desert sessions, kingbirds and painted hills. * * *
